Orpheum Theatre

Opened in 1927, this large theatre was once a venue for vaudeville. After vaudeville had become less popular in the ‘30’s the Orpheum was used mostly as a movie theatre, although live shows were still put on from time to time. Today, the theatre is used for live performances, and has been the permanent home of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra since 1977.
